What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxYouth@RICS, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxYouth@RICS event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Who are we?

We are students at Riverwood International Charter High School, RICS, in Atlanta, Georgia. Inspired by the mission of TED and enraptured by the discussions which the program has enabled we seek to bring the local community the spark of discussion described in the TEDx mission statement through our TEDxYouth@RICS event.

TEDxyouth@rics

A small TEDx event to be held at Riverwood International Charter School, in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 14, 2017. The event will be comprised of four speakers, TED videos, and a reception. Attendance is available for a selection of (approximately 100) guests; application via registration will be required for attendance.
